The House
So... Sketchup... That was fun.
Yeah. SO that was sarcasm.
Overview
Sketchup is a 3D modeling program that we used to model our own houses based on an image we chose off of houseplans.com. The house I chose was a nice, cute, little cottage with a pretty roof and a really neat, organized, exterior.

UMMMMM WHAAAAAAT
I know these blogs are supposed to be professional, but my house looks nowhere near good, realistic, or professional, so I think I can make an exception. Sketchup was a generally easy program to learn and use, but for some reason it was hard to control at times, and the shortcuts were't very shortcut-y. If I were to say, "Animation is my strong suit," I would be telling a huge lie. I mean, maybe this wasn't full on animation, but it was still very time consuming and it was 3D. If I wanted to make this house look great, I would have needed more than 2 weeks.
Something else we had to do was make our own patterns by either importing one, or changing an already made one. The brick pillars and patio were personalized. I know we had to do the roof as one, but I liked one of the roofs already there and I forgot how to change already there ones.

What I Learned
I learned a variety of different things. First of all, I learned how to use Sketchup, and second of all, I learned animation is a Savannah no-no. When I didn't know what to do at the beginning, I felt like giving up, but NO! I made it through!! Animation is very time consuming and requires you to be patient and a perfectionist.
The Result
Above is a video of my houses exterior. Im not gonna lie, I love the back door and I'm pretty darn proud of it. I spent a lot of time on the windows and door/s, and the posts are okay. I like the back of the house a lot. I didn't have time to do the back windows around the back door, but it's alright. Below are some pictures of my house with a couple fun filters!
Again; Sketchup was fun :))
