BOUNCE!

Ball Bounces

(This isn't a ball, obviously, but I wanted to post it)

What's The Scope?

The main gist of the project was to use Adobe Illustrator to animate a bouncing ball. Let me just say now... I can't animate. It stresses me out a lot, and it's more towards the beginning of the projects that I feel a tad bit overwhelmed. I've never animated anything but these pre-drawn stick figures you can move the limbs of on a program I can't remember the name of in my eighth grade computer class. I had a weird time drawing my third animation, but towards the end of that one, it actually got really fun; I should have made it jump more. Anyways, here are my GIFs.

My First Animation Ever

Like the subtitle says, this is my first (frame) animation ever, my first one ever being the words above. I was really lost towards the beginning of the ball project because of the fact that I wasn't used to all of the clicking, copying, dragging, etc. Also, I don't have much patience, so it was a bit tedious and I rushed a bunch of it because of that. I feel like it doesn’t look too bad, and it looks super bouncy. Although, the grass makes me uncomfortable.

Cross-Bounce

I didn't want all three to look the absolute same, so I decided I was going to make the background a... pretty... sunset! Yeah, really pretty. So it took me ten years to make a mediocre sunset as I tried to remember the grass settings. This one, in a weird way, was easier than the first one because I had gotten the hang of it, mostly. You had to go through the same process, but with more clicking, dragging, and bouncing. Not gonna lie, the grass looks horrible and theres a tiny, annoying line on the ball.... HEY! I tried!

Frog Bounce

I had a vision... well, after some thinking. We had to come up with a surprise-twist bounce to make a ball bounce less boring. Lots of kids in my class did portals, but for some reason I was like, "What bounces?" and maybe frogs don't bounce, but they jump, and I wanted to make a frog. It was easy enough, right? Sure. Sure it was. The legs don't look right, and the eyes don't look right, but I really like the final bounce, but the beginning was once again, very tedious. But it's cute, right?
