My Logo
Overview
The last project before finals was to create a logo for ourselves. I was definitely not prepared and all of my ideas kind of sucked, but it eventually worked out. It was actually a really fun project! Lots of sketching, coloring, and creativity, which are always fun. We used Adobe Illustrator like we did for all of our other projects, and it worked out pretty well, and I am happy with how it turned out.
The First Artboard
After we got our sketches approved, we went to the computers the next day to start drawing our logos in black and white, and to experiment with all of the logos to see if any looked better or different on the computer.
I mean, mine isn't that interesting because I knew what I wanted to do when I drew the first one; the grey and white S.
The Second Artboard
Two class days later we started to add color. Let me just say that I love color, and I went crazy with different options and gradients. what I was actually planning on doing was making the white part of the SF black instead, but decided that the negative space looked cleaner and better with the pastel-y-ish colors I wanted to use.
The Final Four
I somehow finally narrowed it down to four logos. It was such a hard decision because I was getting mixed responses from everybody about these four, so it was easy to narrow it down, but not to pick. I spent lots of time just staring at them, hoping I would just realize that I didn't like three of them to make it easier on me. I was also hoping that my peers would all pick the same one as their favorite so I wouldn't have to pick.
The Final Artboard
The final logo I chose; the salmon colored one. It was a really hard choice, but I somehow chose. My friend made a really good point about how the color represented me and stuff, which I though just decided for me. I almost almost picked the gradiented-purple one, but ended up sticking with the solid-salmon one
And here's my logo. Like I said before, I am generally happy with how it turned out. I like how minimalistic it looks and the color does seem very me.
